Observation of Asphalt Material Cracking Using DIC Experiments
Application of Shenshi Intelligent High-Speed Cameras in DIC Experiments on Asphalt Material Cracking

Digital Image Correlation (DIC) is an optical measurement technique that measures parameters such as deformation, displacement, and strain of an object by analyzing variations in the speckle pattern on its surface. During measurement, digital speckle images of the object before and after deformation are first captured by a camera, and then the displacement of each point on the object surface is obtained by matching corresponding image subsets between the pre-deformation and post-deformation images.

Recent studies have shown that DIC systems can be combined with ultra-high-speed photography to rapidly acquire displacement and deformation information, significantly improving measurement efficiency and helping researchers more accurately verify the structural blast mechanical properties and dynamic characteristics. Shenshi Intelligent high-speed cameras can deliver sequential images at thousands to tens of thousands of frames per second, capturing rapidly changing dynamic processes.
In this issue, ShenSir presents a case video demonstrating the application of Shenshi Intelligent MINI Series high-speed cameras in DIC experiments on asphalt material cracking. For more exciting cases, please follow the Shenshi Intelligent video account~
